Boryslav is a city of regional subordination, with 35,000 inhabitants, with complex problems in the community: gas pollution, pollution of the environment with oil, gas, and products of their processing. It has one of the highest rates in the region for cancer and cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, including among teenagers. “City Park of Culture and Recreation”, with an area of 12,796 hectares, has potential opportunities for family and sports tourism: unused significant area of the park, required height and shape of the trees and a flat area for the organisation of an open-air cinema. In combination with the existing skate park and kerosene lamp museum, bike paths and playground, the rope park and open-air cinema create a single complex center for the development of recreational, family, sports, and green tourism in Lviv region.
